It’s been six months since I started my trial of The Architect and it certainly hasn’t been an easy ride.
When carrying out trials, I find myself almost willing results to come in for the tipsters who clearly work hard and provide a good service.
Sadly though, my attempts at spreading karma don’t always work 🙁
Ever since the poor start to this trial it has been like a recovery operation to try and get back to where I started.
Things had begun to look up with the service delivering profits in month 4 and 5 and one more winning month would have finally put me into a profitable position for the trial.
But the final month of my trial turned out to be a disappointment and I saw my bank plummet again.

Summary
I’ve given it a good go, but my patience has just about run out with this service. It’s a shame as it’s clear that the tipster puts a great deal of effort into researching his tips, going by the detailed write-ups sent out every day.
The fact is there is no profit to show for his efforts after more than 650 bets, so with regret this service has to go down as a fail.

Update: 13th June 2018
The Architect has done it again and achieved another winning month, delivering a superb profit of £200.02 at the prices available.
He’s really managed to pull things back after a disappointing start to my trial and I have almost managed to recover my bank back to where it started at £1000. In total I just have a loss of £15.08 now, so I will easily be in profit with one more winning month.

Summary
Things are starting to look up for this tipster but I really need to see this sort of form continue. I don’t usually run a trial for this long, but I feel an extension of at least 1 or 2 more months is needed for this service to find out whether it makes a profit long-term.
Can The Architect ‘build’ on this good form and make it three winning months in a row? I’ll be back next month with an update.

Update: 18th May 2018
At last! I finally have some good news to report in my trial of The Architect!
It appears the service is well and truly back in form with a profit of £166.35 made over the last month.
Sadly it’s not all good news, as I still have quite a way to go before my bank is back to £1000 where I started. That hefty loss in month one was a real set back and it’s been an uphill climb ever since.

Summary
I am feeling much more positive about this trial now, afterall, every tipster has a rough patch every now and then. It’s even more common amongst horse racing tips services as the betting odds are often higher, which has been the case for The Architect. The odds that I have taken have averaged at 9.60 and have been as high as 67.00.
I don’t feel like it would be fair on this tipster to end my trial here just as things are getting back on track, so I am going to carry on for at least another month.

Update: 13th April 2018
The Architect has been struggling to make a profit over the last few months.
In my latest set of results I have to report a further loss of £64.33 or 6.4 points, but…
I do have to admit something.
Due to the recent changes in how Tipster’s Empire send out tips, I have missed out on quite a few winning tips from this service. It is ultimately my fault for not being as on the ball as I could have been, but problems with the tipster’s member’s area not loading and tips changing from being sent via email to text message didn’t help.
Anyway, luck would have it that the service went on a winning spree during the time that I missed recording the tips and I could potentially have recouped most of the loss from the previous months by now, although it could easily have gone the other way.

Summary
I was planning on finishing this trial up after this update but in light of my mishap I will keep going for another month to see whether The Architect really is back in form.

Update: 15th March 2018
I tried to stay positive after a bad start to my trial of The Architect, but it’s becoming tough after experiencing another losing month.
I have tracked 78 bets this month and 25 either won or placed, which wasn’t enough to finish with a profit. I finished the month with a loss of 5 points and dded to last month’s totals, that’s an overall loss of 31.7 points at the available prices.
The Betfair SP results were slightly better, almost breaking even with a 0.3 point loss.

Summary
I would like to give The Architect another month to redeem himself, after all many of the bets have been at fairly high odds so a couple of wins could make a world of difference.

It’s been a poor month for The Architect and a horrific start to my trial with more than 25% of my bank wiped out already.
It has felt like an uphill battle from the start with several losing bets putting me on the back foot and quite a few near misses with horses placing second.
Ok… so everyone has a losing run now and again when luck goes the wrong way and it’s not like the picks have been left stranded at the back of the field. Perhaps I just started at the wrong time and I need to keep the faith for a while.
However, in total I have lost £266.67 to £10 stakes at the prices available and £336.57 at Betfair SP.

Summary
It’s not the start that I’d hoped for in this trial but there have been a series of winning bets towards the end of the month, so hopefully things are starting to look up.

Introduction: 11th January 2018
Tipsters Empire seems to be more of a quality over quantity platform, currently offering memberships to just three tips services.
I have trialled one of them so far, DG Tips, which produced a notable profit at both the prices taken and BSP odds.
Now I’m curious to find out whether the other services are anywhere near as good, so I have launched a new trial of The Architect – a horse racing tipster who has been a part of the team since August last year.
According to the sales page, The Architect pulled off a 150/1 treble during his proofing to the Tipsters Empire network, but the main reason that made him stand out was his commitment and ability to make a long-term profit.
This certainly looks to be true, with the results published to the website showing a profit of over £3000 to £10 stakes to date.
I received the tips for today last night at around 7pm and I was impressed with the level of detail. Following the basic information such as the race details and advised odds, there’s a full analysis of why the horse has been selected.
The bets are a mix of win and each-way and the staking seems to be simple; mainly 1pt each or 0.5pts each-way.
Summary
I’ll be aiming for 200 bets and will report back with my progress in a monthly update. As usual, I will track results for the odds advised by the tipster, the actual price available and Betfair SP.
