Hello, Alison here for the last time with the month 3 report and conclusion of my trial of Profit Ninjas.
If you’ve been following the trial you’ll know that this has been my first experience of the wonderful world of betting.
Lucy told me that my inexperience made me an ideal candidate to test Profit Ninjas and promised that if I didn’t make enough profit to buy a disgracefully expensive pair of shoes, she’d buy them for me.
So, I had nothing to lose!
My initial nerves were quickly left behind, thanks to the clear and straightforward information provided on the funky, attractive website.
I spent month#1 concentrating on using bookie offers to build up my betting bank. I couldn’t believe how easy this was with the tools provided in the members area.
And, when I did have a query, Support Ninja (aka Ricky, the man behind Profit Ninjas) responded quickly and helpfully.
In month#2 I moved on to Games Ninja, taking advantage of bingo, casino and games offers. Again I found this quite straightforward and easy to follow, thanks to the guides provided. But whilst I still made easy profits, I didn’t enjoy it as much as the sports betting.
Not sure if I should be concerned about that or not! 😉
So, what have I done in month#3 and which LayBack folder am I putting Profit Ninjas in…….?
Since many of the comments on my previous updates were from readers wanting to know what was on offer in addition to bonus bagging, that’s what I’ve looked at this time.
Ricky would normally encourage new members to complete all the account offers to build up a betting bank and gain confidence using the bookmakers and exchanges, but he bent the rules a bit and gave me access to the rest of the site for reviewing purposes.
Now, whilst I can’t say too much about the trading strategies that Profit Ninjas provides without giving the game away, I can say that the video guides are excellent.
There’s an individual guide for each of the 8 strategies and advice on which software to use, together with daily trading tips pointing you at the races and games to look at each day.
However I do think some of the written instructions aren’t as clear as they should be.
An example of this is the Market Movers page.
Market Movers is matched betting on selections provided by Ricky, with a variety of options.
One of these being to “place your lay bet for 1/2 of your back price.”
As an inexperienced punter (and maths dunce) I assumed this simply meant ‘divide the back odds by two’.
Fortunately I’ve got a friend who knows all about betting. 😉
And she explained that I should do it like this:
- Subtract 1 from decimal odds. e.g. if back odds are 13, then you take away 1 to get 12.
- Divide by 2. So we would now have 6.
- Add one back on – to get 7 in our example. This is the lay price.
The point is, if you just divided 13 by 2, you’d get 6.5. But this would be wrong as it takes no account of the need to switch between decimal and fractional odds.
So, I think Ricky does need to think about clearly explaining every detail, even if it’s something that seems obvious to him.
Market Movers Results
I said last time that I intended to try trading the Market Movers selections.
From the options available I used the lay at 50% of the back stake mentioned above, plus laying 1 minute before the off.
You can download my results spreadsheet here.
But the overall results look like this:
|Layed @ BSP||Layed @ 50%||Win Only|
|points per trade||0.18||0.02||0.32|
And looking at them I can’t help feeling that trading the selections is wasting both time and effort because simply backing them to win is much easier and more profitable!
Profit Ninjas is a great looking website.
The ‘bonus bagging’ component obviously works and the site helps you make the very most of the offers.
The bingo and casino stuff is also very slick and works a treat.
And the trading strategy made me some money too, but perhaps just needs explaining a bit more clearly.
Customer service throughout has been absolutely first rate. Ricky’s enthusiasm and helpfulness shine through.
There is still work to do, but Ricky is very receptive to feedback and suggestions. For example he’s added a website forum, in addition to the Facebook one, at the suggestion of LayBack readers.
At just £16 per month, or £120 per year, the product is extremely good value.
I’m going shoe shopping this weekend!
