2013 Betting System Oscars: Best Tipster

2013 Betting System Oscars: Best Tipster

Hello, Lucy here once more, with the fourth award in this year’s Betting Oscars E-Ceremony. 🙂

OK, so there has been a strong trading dimension to the awards so far, with prizes for Best Trading, Best Arbitrage and Best Football System all going to products that depend, one way or another, on the use of the exchanges.

Traditionalists however may find today’s Oscar winner more appealing, as this product could even be used by offline punters (assuming they still exist??!).

I refer of course to the  2013 Oscar for Best Tipster…

And finally we have a winner I’d never heard of!

For unlike our three very familiar 2013 Oscar winners to date, the winner of the 2013 Best Tipster award, as voted for by my readers, is……… Mathematician Betting!

As is by now traditional, I let the award winners know a couple of days ago of their success, and asked them for a few words of acceptance.

Mick and Guy, the two old hands behind the service, run a no-frills website and a no-nonsense service, and neither initially strikes you as the gushing type. However, you could still sense their excitement at the award: such is the satisfaction, I guess, of being admired by your public  (….says she, sighing dreamily!) 🙂

Guy spoke for the two of them yesterday when he explained, Mathematician Betting are delighted and honoured to have received the “Favourite Tipping Service” award at the 2013 Oscars at Lay Back And Get Rich.

“Mick and I decided at the start to run an honest service with simple ethics. We wanted to treat our members with the respect they deserve, delivering a high quality ground breaking service that is both honest and open.

“Tipping services have, for far too long, been seen as exploiting people, and we tread a very different path from most others. Members of the service are free to communicate with each other in our private member forums any time to offer support and share experiences.

“There are members that have been with us since the start (12 years ago!), and there is a mixture of old experienced heads and new young talent all aware that they receive a unique style of analysis not seen anywhere else within the industry.

“We would like to thank everyone who voted for us. This award is accepted with great pride, making all the hard work worthwhile. We want to thank all our current members as it is they who allow us freedom to develop new strategies to make their betting pay.

“They support and encourage us and are prepared to think outside the box and understand that there is ground breaking work being done here and it’s only possible to do this with a membership that is prepared to trust us to deliver. The 2013 Oscar is an honour dedicated to members old and new.”

  1. Sorry Cerberus but I took the same trial your talking rubbish. You must be betting every horse given in every profile for that to happen. Results from 17th March 7/4 9/4 11/4 lost 9/1ew 2nd 8/1 lost 3/1 11/8 lost 4/1 And then 5 losers. Those were the bets recommended from the 17th to the 31st. April 10 winners 13 losers which included 12/1ew caught on the line 7/1 4/1. 7/2. 7/2 5/1. A run down for interest well in profit March April July 12 points up as at 18th July. May level June lost around 5points.

  2. One can only speak as one finds and, to be honest, I wish I’d never found this service!

I initially tried their Saturday service and after 12 weeks got only one (2/1) winner. Hardly consistent results!

Then, foolishly, I succumbed to the special offer of half price for Cheltenham Week and that month. This turned out to be an unmitigated betting disaster. For the first time in my betting life I emptied my betting bank!

To compound that, I forgot to cancel the repeat fee so am now committed to another month of guestimates from Mr Maths! True to form he’s continued throwing out further useless tips.

Should Lucy want to verify my comments I’ll be only to happy to send her my long, long list of losing bets from Mr Maths himself!

  3. Hi Lucy and anyone reading …

I’m new to this but would guess that if the Guardian wrote about this service 7 years ago and they’re still in business then they must be doing something right …. failure’s tend to fold and re-appear under a new wrapper as disguise , don’t they …

I’ll see if can get on free trial wait list

meery xmas … cheers … myke

  4. Hi Lucy are there any proofed results for this
Tipster? Without that its hard to gauge their strike rate, the average
Price of their winners, roi, or whether this is a product more
Suitable for high rollers than the average guy with a betting
    Bank of 500.

    1. Jane

No, I’ve never actually tested this service. The Guardian newspaper did though (you can find the link on Google) but that was seven years ago so probably of limited value.

Unlike my trials, the Betting Oscars are awarded based on my readers’ votes, not my own opinions. I am actually talking to the Mathematician guys about a possible trial in future, however in the meantime you can get your hands on their service for free for a month, and give it a test drive yourself, without any obligation.

To do so, you just follow this link. For a while, Mathematician had suspended new triallists but I happen to know they’ve let a couple more in this weekend, so my advice would be to move quickly.

  5. Hi Lucy

And the monthly subscription isn’t cheap either.. But anyway still really like this site, you must work very hard. Thank you.

    1. James

Thank you for your kind comments.

Betting Oscars are awarded based on votes cast by my readers. Passed/Failed status depends on the outcome of my trials. The two are separate, except of course where I test a service that has also received an Oscar.

The point of the Oscars is to benefit from my readers’ experience. After all, there is only one of me and I can’t test everything. 🙂

And yes, it can be quite hard work, but I also happen to love every minute.

  6. Hi Lucy.

    How r you?

How come I don’t see Mathematician Betting in your passed systems but now they are getting best tipster award?

  7. June 2nd Update – Although the “1 month free” offer above has been formally closed, Mathematician Betting have agreed to open a waiting list for their product for anyone who clicks through from my site via this link.

I consider this to be a very valuable free perk that you should consider if you are serious about horse race betting. This is a great opportunity to try out a seriously professional service for a whole month without any obligation.

    The only “catches” are:

1.I don’t know how long you’ll have to wait to get in. That’s entirely up to the guys at Mathematician Betting.
2.MB reserve the right to withdraw this offer at any time without warning.

I obviously promise also never to share your email address with anyone but the MB guys.

    Lucy xx
