Football Bank Builder Review

Hello, Paulo here again. And it's about time for the final report on my Football Bank Builder trial!

After 13 weeks we reached the usual goal of 200 bets, more exactly 203 bets in this case.

So... what have we learned from this interesting experiment?

First, this system, FBB, is one of the easiest to implement that I know!

It is both quick and easy to find the games where we can use the system, as the rule set is so simple and straightforward.

Second, despite its simplicity, FBB seems to have been built on top of some well-founded reasoning... At least, most of the logic behind the system is consistently demonstrated by practical results.

And third... It looks like the concept of slow, but steady, bank building is in fact perfectly achievable by FBB.

But what do we have to support those assumptions?

Well... Since our last report we had 63 bets, winning 31 of them! Thus achieving a strike rate of 49.2% and for the first time a profit at level stakes! 4.63 units in this period!

Still, for the whole trial, bank no. 1 (level stakes) shows a loss of 9.65 units, or 48.25% from the starting 20 units.

This is not what I would expect, and I'm confident that in a longer period it will at least break even. And that's because the strike rate we achieved along the trial is well below the level one would expect from the average odds of our bets! In the longer term it will get better than the measly 42.36% we got!

Bank no. 2 (Fibonacci) made us a profit of 13.37 units in these 4 weeks, and stands now at 192.12, a growth of 9.16% from the 176 units we started with!

It doesn't seem too much, does it? But it is a profit achieved under the already mentioned circumstances of a lousy strike rate that can only get better in the long run.

It looks like the author of the system is quite right in recommending this staking plan!

And what about our bank no 3 (2 steps back)?

This one was in a very bad shape at one point. After two losing runs, near each other, this staking plan was reset and the losses at that moment were close to 50 units! Almost one third of the bank was gone!

But since, with not many more noticeable losing runs, this somewhat aggressive staking plan did recover all those losses! And even managed to get us a profit of 2.58 units!! 🙂

Maybe bank 3 is not for everyone, as it is a bit more risky than the Fibonacci plan, but it certainly is capable of producing some great returns.

OK here are the results for the last four weeks....

In conclusion, Football Bank Builder seems to be a useful system to have in your betting portfolio!

Using it in conjunction with the recommended staking plan, it has the potential to return some very nice profits!

And, of course, compounding these profits will only make the system even more appealing along the time... 😉

And if you still don't believe me, you can download the complete results log for the trial by clicking here.

That's all I have to say about "football bank building".... it's into the Passed Systems folder with FBB!

Update Three

Hello, Paulo here once more. And it's time for another report on my Football Bank Builder trial.

This time, I am back with the results for weeks 6 to 9. We're well past the halfway stage now, so a clearer picture is beginning to emerge.

So... how did FBB fare during these 4 weeks of lousy weather right across Europe?

Not much better than said weather, I'm afraid... 🙁

We added another 60 bets to our trial, which now stands at 140 in total.

The strike rate improved another little bit, with 25 winning bets representing a 41.67% hit rate for the period, bringing the total S/R to 39.29%.

But this is far from enough to deliver profits at level stakes!

Which is why our Bank Number 1 (Level Stakes) keeps sliding down, and has already lost 76% of its starting 20 units!

It will probably go bust before the end of trial! 🙁

Unless, of course, Lady Luck decides to gives us a helping hand... 🙂

Other Staking Plans

I'm pleased to say that the recommended staking plan, Fibonacci, is showing us a better face, and actually managed to provide us with a small profit for the month!

3.75 units! And it means we are actually in the black with this one! 🙂

Yes indeed, Bank Number 2 (Fibonacci) stands now at 178.75 units. Which represents a profit of 1.56% over our starting position of 176 points

So... what about Bank Number 3 ('2 Steps Back')!?

Well... this staking plan can be a great way for improving profits...

But we really need a decent strike rate. Otherwise, ordinary losing runs of 5 or 6, stacked near each other, can be very dangerous to our bank!

We actually saw this sort of thing happen in my last report.

But right now, 2 Steps Back is performing as expected and doing its thing, slowly recovering from previous losses.

Over the last 4 weeks, it has shown a profit of 19.59 units, and stands now at 161.92. This is still 8% down since the start, but is much better than its lowest point of 107.85.

The complete results log for the last four weeks is as follows.

Here's hoping we finish with a flourish!

Update Two

Hi there, Paulo here with the latest instalment of my Football Bank Builder trial!

After a first week showing a good profit across all three of our betting banks, now my story is of an entirely different kind...

Over the last four weeks I managed to place 60 bets. Every day there was at least one opportunity to put the system to work, and there were a few days when I could have placed a lot more, but I kept to the limit of 3 bets a day.

From these 60, only 23 won! Meaning a strike rate of 38.33%. This was actually slightly better than last time, but still awfully low for our needs! 🙁

Even worse: a losing run of eight tested the limits of FBB's Fibonacci staking plan!

The good news is it survived the test, but the more aggressive '2 Steps Back' approach was not able to sustain one such long streak right after another one that we hadn't yet totally recovered from!

Meaning... our bank number 3 suffered a nasty blow, dropping to just 126 units at one point (against a starting position of 176!).

However, since that dreadful week, and despite a less than friendly strike rate, those two staking plans have been slowly healing their wounds and recovering from the depths of the abyss!

In fact, they recouped about 53 units since the lowest point... which goes to show there probably is some merit in using them!

Unfortunately, we cannot say the same about the level stakes bank. This one keeps going down and down. And will stay that way unless and until our strike rate gets to a level firmly above 46%.

So, in this period, all three FBB banks sustained losses.

No 1 lost 6.77 units; No 2 lost 2.5 units, and No 3 lost 49.58 units!!

Which gives us a total loss for the month of 58.85 units in total! Bringing our banks to a combined loss of -15.82% in this period. 🙁

That means we are now down 44.52 units, or -11.97% overall, since the beginning of our trial. 🙁

The complete results log for the last four weeks makes for uneasy reading...

Update One

Hi there, Paulo here with the first report on my brand new trial of Football Bank Builder!

I was in fact meaning only to do my first report after one month, but as I was so kindly asked by Lucy, how could I refuse?!

And this trial certainly looks an interesting exercise!

After just one week, we don't yet have much data to work with. In fact, we've just reached 20 bets so far. Which is more or less what is to be expected each week, if we follow the system's recommendations!

I'm working with three separate banks for three staking plans: one starting at 20 units, and two of 176 units each! But the FBB manual recommends £352 for a minimum starting bank, which equates to 176 units of £2, obviously.

So, is Football Bank Builder easy to use?

So far, selections have proved to be quick and easy to find! And with rules as simple as these, there is no room for subjectivity! Either a game is eligible.. or it is not!

However, things become a bit more complicated if you are not able to monitor the odds closer to the off. They can have quite significant movements which can lead to a match becoming not eligible for the system.

Another point to make is: As we operate two recovery staking plans, a match must come to an end before we can bet in the next one. Unless, our bet is already closed during the game. Which, as it happens, is a pretty frequent event!

Football Bank Builder proposes a solution for this. However, for the purpose of our trial, I'll stick to the simpler solution and just place bets after knowing the previous one result!

Of course, on days with fewer football games to search through, it may be difficult to find three of them between the boundaries of the system's criteria that don't overlap in time. That's why there are days with just one or two bets.

So, what about the results?! What have we found so far?

Well... Surprisingly, things started nicely with two wins! But then, just when I though Football Bank Builder had escaped Lucy's New Triallist's Curse, we had six losses in a run! Just to test our stomach, of course! And the recovery plans... those too...

Which was a bit scary, I can tell you, seeing those bets escalating at an alarming rate. 🙁

But one must trust a system designer who has already proved himself in the past. And things eventually came to our side. Thanks to Mr. Kayabasi, who scored for Balikesirspor right before half-time!

Yes, we also bet on those games between teams whose names one cannot spell correctly! After all, they are not on the exempt list from Football Bank Builder, are they?! 🙂

Since then, there have been no more loooooong losing runs, But no winning runs either.

That's why our strike rate looks so miserable right now!... After 20 bets we won 7! Just 35%!! 🙁

Which of course is not good for our flat stakes bank!

And we need a strike rate of 47% to make a small profit if the average odds of our bets are 1.82 (as claimed by the system's author). We have achieved a slightly lower odds average, but with a not yet significant number of bets.

The good news is: Even with such a lousy strike rate, our Fibonacci and 2 Steps Back banks are holding up firmly!

But thats what they were devised for... right? 🙂

Overall, the three banks have us 14 units up!!

Which is much better than I expected, considering that I believe the strike rate will eventually improve to over 40% for sure!

And summarizing our first week, we had 20 bets, winning 7 of them!

We had a loss of -3.08 units at flat stakes (bank lost 15.4%), but a profit of 1.5 units using the Fibonacci staking plan (bank up 0.85%), and a very nice profit of 15.91 units using the "2 steps back" staking plan (bank up 9.04%)!

In total, we had a profit of 14.33 units and a global bank winning 3.85%.

Not bad for one week, uh?

Now, if only it keeps this way from now on... 😉

And that's it for today!

I'll be back early in December with my next report on Football Bank Builder. If I manage to keep my arms out of danger, that is... 😛

Paulo

Introduction

Ladies and gentlemen, may I present to you the sales page of a product with a very uncomplicated pitch.... Football Bank Builder.

Yes, there are some pretty bold claims here.

Not content with plastering £20 notes all over your screen, the Football Bank Builder sales page asks you the undoubtedly-appealing-but-decidedly-rhetorical question, "How would YOU like to turn £1,000 into £3,138.43 in 12 months and into an amazing £30,912.68 in just 36 months?"

Well, now you mention it... it would be kinda nice.

The eagle-eyed amongst you may also recognise that sales page background.

If you don't know what I'm talking about, just hop over for a moment to the sales page for a well-known horse racing system here.

Fishy, ain't it!? 🙂

And indeed, having read both systems, I think I can fairly confidently state that, if you liked Little Acorns, there's a good chance you'll like Football Bank Builder too.

Not only are they products from the same stable, but they share certain characteristics....

  • low initial seed capital
  • slow bank-building
  • exploitation of compounding principles
  • careful selection principles.

So, we like it then, huh?

Not so fast.

There are a couple of important differences.

Most obviously, Little Acorns has been around for ages, picking up awards for years. Whereas FBB is brand spanking new.

Secondly, the selection criteria for FBB are, dare I say, somewhat puzzling.

For although Little Acorns exploits the notorious unpredictability of horse racing, I still don't fully understand the reasoning behind one of the key selection criteria within Football Bank Builder.

I'm not saying the manual isn't clear.

On the contrary, the screenshots in the manual spell the selection criteria out with commendable clarity.

I'm just saying I don't understand the logic that underpins one of them.

So I guess we'd better test it then?

Yes indeedy.

Let me therefore welcome back an experienced tester in Paulo.

Is Football Bank Builder the answer?

We shall see!

First though, I will ask Paulo to add his first impressions as soon as he's got through the manual...

And then, we'll go for my usual 200 bets.

I expect this to be absolutely fascinating.

Lucy

  1. Hi Susan C,

Yup, still battling the system. I’ve actually got my loss down to about half – but have just had a losing run of 10 which has slowed me up a bit!

I am going very gently with this now and only trying to recover what I’ve lost in stages. When I hit a losing run I step back and skip a day or two, or just do one a day until I get a winner again so slow going but getting there. Slowed down a bit lately- too many cup games and friendly’s were teams often do not perform as expected – no doubt because the teams fielded are often not the usual line up.

Originally I used an aggressive staking plan but hit a very bad patch with numerous losses including a losing run of 13 – and bottled out! I’m much happier with this taking it slowly – and it is working.

I don’t think this system will make me a millionaire but I am determined to at least recover my losses and the program cost and from there – we’ll see.

Good luck and let us know how you get on – and please share if you find a magic formula for making this work better!

  2. Hello Again,

I contacted Andrew David and he has confirmed that the new staking plan has almost finished beta testing and will be available soon for ‘a small fee’; this is because the plan was developed by a third party.

    Susan

  3. Hi All,

Not sure if anyone’s still subscribing to this page, but I have just read a review for FBB on another site and the author mentions a ‘high/low’ staking plan:

“I have been entering the data into the algorithm they supply on a daily basis and placing my stakes according to the result of doing that which is instantly indicated after pressing the submit button. Where it suggested “LOW” then my stakes have been a straight £2 bet and where it shows “HIGH”, the stakes have been increased to £6.”

Anyone here had experience of this?

Are you still in there batting SueD? If so, how’re things going?

    Best regards

    Susan

  4. Hi Paul – yes I’m still subscribed to this page. I left FBB alone for a long time and then decided to have another go – can’t help myself!
I have managed to reduce my losses by half but am going very gently and slowly and when I hit a losing run I step back for a day or two instead of throwing it money. I am determined to recover all my losses and the fee – then we’ll see. I’ll probably be dead by then anyway 😉
I think it is possible to profit with this system – but not half as easy as the creators suggest and I don’t have a lot of faith in their staking plans.
Interesting to know (and satisfying that I’m not alone!) that others have had problems – I think when I joined there weren’t enough reviews around. Possibly better to wait until a system has been up and running for a while and there are plenty of reviews before buying.

Stephen – yes I agree, a level staking plan is the best way to go with any system and your roulette example is a perfect analogy. However, providing the losing runs are not too long I think recovery staking does have it’s place – but finding the system that doesn’t have long losing runs is the tough nut to crack – and also a manageable recovery system.

  5. Mathematically you cannot get something for nothing… (ie turn a level stakes losing system into a long term winning system just by using recovery staking)… otherwise we’d all be down the casino betting on red/black and walking away millionaires. Using recovery staking is just a different (and much more obtuse) way of managing your risk. Eventually there will always be a losing sequence, or patch of losing sequences that even things up again, and take you back to the overall expectation that your level stakes results had all along… ie negative if that was negative. I automated Little Acorns on my TBE robot and ran it for a few months, and was in (small) profit, but I scrapped it because I could see it had almost no edge at level stakes, so I knew it would come a cropper sooner or later (and that its overall growth would be very slow once losing sequences were factored in).

  6. Hi Sue D

Not sure if you still visit this site and sorry to hear about your experience with FBB, You asked how others have managed to make profits with this when you have experienced losses. Well the answer is simple really… they haven’t. Or at least if they have then they are in a very small minority to the number that have purchased this strategy

I always do due diligence when looking to purchase a product and Lucy’s site is my first port of call. But there are other review sites out there that have over 100 people giving their verdict…and it is not positive

Sorry Lucy… but this one goes straight into room 101… never to be looked at again I am afraid

Appreciate what you do for us guys though…keep up the good work…. cracking

  7. Thanks for your reply – I actually used the DOB method for the first time yesterday, mini stakes at the moment until I grow comfortable and confident with the method. I don’t have a bot – and don’t especially want one, My brain hurts just thinking about setting one up – and so can’t do all the trading methods given.

I’ve been playing around with my own version of LTD – going in late in the game when the odds have dropped below 2 and am moderately successful with this – but early days and need to refine the selection criteria.

The thing I loved about FBB was that you could just pick it up and use as and when – without having to be at your computer at a specific time – and I’m often out in the afternoons, the main racing period.

  8. SueD I was very impressed with the trading advice and strategies given in Profit Ninjas if this style of trading suits your lifestyle and you have the time perform trades.

  9. Thanks for all the comments.

Susan – I honestly think I’ve been unlucky. I would bet (and am quite sure I’d win this one 😉 ) that other people have been making money with this over the period I’ve been losing. Just picking the opposite of what I’d have selected would have ensured that. Pity I can’t post my selections then I could at least ensure profit for everyone else!

Smart Sports Trader – I would much prefer a system that wins at level staking but I don’t believe this system can work without some degree of recovery staking. If you can recommend some reliable systems that do it would be brilliant.

Marcus Aurelius – that is brilliant news if it stops (or at least curtails to some degree) the scammers and should ensure that the purveyors of systems do run and test fully before offering to the public – hopefully.

  10. Sorry to hear that this is going pear shaped for people. As a general point anyone buying a commercial system should be aware of their rights under the new Consumer Rights Act 2015, which extends consumer rights to digital content and downloads. Under the act sellers must offer a repair or replacement for defective content. If this is not possible or the content is not fit for purpose, then the buyer is entitled to a refund. See s33 and s45 of the Act. There is a government website giving details. CAB and Which?also have excellent coverage. Let’s hope this curtails some of the system peddlers, but sadly it only applies to sales after 1/10/15, I think.

Don’t rely on me but research it for yourselves.

  11. Those are the pitfalls of progressive staking you build your confidence with a long run of wins but the losses are enormous. I am always much happier with level staking even if the wins come a little less often.

  12. Hi Sue,

Sorry to hear how things are going. I never started it in the end, and maybe just as well!

I did get an email from the system’s authors yesterday saying how well their trial is going though, and that is running multiple sequences too. Maybe it would be worth getting in touch with them to see what they say.

I was waiting for the long-promised Revelation spreadsheet. How long can that take to do?

    Best regards

    Susan

  13. Hi SusanC,

Just wondered how you were getting on with this. I was flying – recovered all my losses and over £200 in profit with over 1000 bets behind me and feeling really pleased – then, mid-late Sepember, it all went pear-shaped!

I run multiple sequences and ran a check on the 100 bets that wiped all my profits and my strike rate was 32%. I kept going as I thought it was a blip but am going further in to the red daily – the subsequent 100 bets have now created a loss that is getting bigger daily and the strike rate for them was 35%! I even started selecting those with odds of 2 plus only (taking in play) thinking I should at least get a better strike rate – made no difference whatsoever.

I really can’t make sense out of this system any more and am not sure whether I will continue or not. I completely understand how it could pass a trial of 200 bets – although feel that two different people doing the same trial with different selections could have greatly differing results.

I will definitely take a break for a week or so and reconsider whether to plough on or not but would be interested to know how you have fared with this.

    SueD

  14. You can set up your own calculation on a spreadsheet. I think they actually do it on the whole bet rather than the lost profit.

    Eg. Maximum loss = £10 Minimum loss = £5 Stake = £3
    With stake 3, step 3 and 5% commission – calculation = (10+5+3)/95 x 100 = £18.95 for next bet

That’s how I worked it out anyway – may be wrong. Hope that makes sense.

Having it on the spreadsheet is a lot easier than having to log on to Revelation each time

  15. Hi SusanC,

Thanks for the kind words – and yes, about 2/3 of the cost now recovered so not too long to go until pure profit 🙂

I’m just sticking with one half of the market with opening odds of 1.8+ which I take about 10 – 15 mins inplay and it’s working for me. I still get occasional losing runs of 8 or 9 but my recovery system is working and although my balance may plummet, I soon recover.

I truly can not understand how Revelation works so well for most people though. I checked the calculations from a spreadsheet on this site somewhere to see if I was applying it correctly – and I was. I have to assume that other people’s selections have been giving a better return than mine.

Anyway, good luck with this. It is such a quick and easy system and I think, bearing in mind it’s the recovery system that’s important, you’ll be very pleased.

    1. Thanks for the tip SueD. I’ve not used any money using Revelation yet, although I think (hope) I understand how it works. It is a bit of a faff without a spreadsheet though, and I can’t understand why it’s taking so long to produce one.

  16. So glad to hear things are picking up for you SueD. You seem to be out there batting all on your own at the moment.

I bought FBB & Revelation a few weeks ago, but was waiting for the new season before making a start. So it’s time to blow the dust off and get cracking.

If Revelation’s creator is still following this thread, could he let us know how the spreadsheet is coming along.

  17. Well, despite my last comments, I couldn’t leave this alone so ploughed on. My overall strike rate ranges between about 40 to 44% and I stopped tinkering with my selections and realised the key to winning with this system is the recovery system used.

My selections are easier and quicker now and although I still get long losing runs I have recovered about £80 and then move on to recover the cost of the system – and then pure profit 🙂

I realise it seems to be the Holy Grail for some but I don’t like Revelation (which I discovered was a milder version of my extreme recovery system that I used the first time I got in trouble – I added in all of my losses – and what I had been using myself for a long time!) but use a system that is a kind of halfway measure. Sometimes the bets get a bit scary but I feel comfortable in the knowledge that a winner will come along -and I haven’t bust my Betfair bank – yet!

Where the odds are similar the FBB system could be applied to many markets and sports – not surprising that it came from the same people as Little Acorns. The limitation is in the size of the basic lay, even with growing the bank the size of some of the recovery bets could be rather scary – however, I’ll see how it goes.

  18. Mike – if you’re still out there – I’m having to give this one up. I have tried everything I can think off, carefully checking stats, selecting those games with a min of 1.9, with many over 2, and taking in the first 10 mins inplay, going back to the original criteria – but no good

Out of my last 30 bets, 6 have been winners and I have a long long list of losers that I don’t think Revelation would ever be able to catch up with. The only way would be with the Fibbywotsit (sorry – can never remember the correct spelling for that) but I don’t think my nerves could cope with the size of the bet I’d need to recover! I’m going further into the red with each bet so time to call it a day I think.

Really sad about this one. I’ve tried several systems with rave reviews and the only one I’ve had success with is Lucy’s Skewtrader. And each system or service has a charge plus the resultant losses – I’m trying to make money, not lose it!! When Lucy sent out her email for votes I’d have love to have voted – but have yet to find anything that works for me other than her own – on which you can’t vote.

Perhaps it’s me – as other people seem to be enjoying success but I’m feeling quite despondent after this with its glowing reviews and may just give up on looking at anything else and just stick than matched betting and Skewtrader.

Sorry for both of us that I didn’t find a way to make it work better. If you have any bright ideas please share – or any systems that you know of that are relatively simple and straightforward and work.

    Hope I haven’t been too depressing 😉
    Sue

  19. Will do Mike.

My theory with the inplay was to concentrate on the one aspect, selecting those with odds higher than specified in the instructions and waiting for them to drop and it was working, my strike rate was improving – until just recently. Hopefully just a blip. Also I’ve been looking at games with a favourite at odds of less than approx 1.80 – but that doesn’t seem to make much difference to be honest. And as I think we’ve both discovered, past performance is no guarantee.

Like you, I was really hoping that this would be a nice little earner and simple to operate but sadly, as with just about every other system out there, it doesn’t seem to be – but not giving up on it yet.

  20. Good comments Sue. This is certainly not the holy grail for me so far as suggested on here. My winning strike rate is around 30% which is not going to produce a profit as it needs 42% using the revelation staking. I think laying after 15 minutes if still 0-0 is a good idea though obviously more time consuming. One of the problems especially with the Scandinavian leagues is that say Finland has only 39% of games over 2.5 whereas Norway has 59%. the odds tend to reflect that and your chances of winning are poor. Some people say it is best to pick games where the overs and unders odds are nearly the same which rules out a lot of Scandinavian games. I have also been trying picking a home team where they have had either overs 3 times on the run or unders 3 times on the run and laying against that in the next game. that is not of course in the FBB rules and I have no idea if it will work. I suppose it would be ebst to wait for the main leagues to start.
It would be nice to know what Lucy thinks about this situation.
Anyway Sue good luck and let me know if you crack it and I will do the same!

  21. I’ve had a lot of losses lately – perhaps it’s the time of year! I decided to include friendly’s and my strike rate has been better on these than the Scandinavian leagues.

I tried the Revelation system but gave up as I was having about 4 losses to each win and the list of min and max bets was getting longer and longer – and bigger and bigger with my overall loss leaping with nearly every bet. I devised my own system, a bit scary and extreme but it helped me to recover – but have had a recent very bad run again. and not looking good. In fact I stopped my system as wins became so few and far between – and thankfully as I then had 9 losses in a row!

I’ve been keeping a record of my strike rate and for the first 100 bets it was at 51% – and then dropped to 38% for the next 100.

I’ve been trying to find ways of improving the strike rate and for a few days thought I had it cracked and then it all went horribly wrong 🙁 . Not given up though – I still feel there may be a way of tweaking to improve this, just have to persevere until I find the hidden formula….

One thing I have been doing lately is placing certain of the bets inplay – usually about 10 mins (obvious which ones!) – so losses are a little smaller!!

  22. have been using this system on the main scandinavian leagues and the MLS in the States. I must say the results have been pretty horrendous with Betfair getting the odds pretty accurately and many of the results going to form. The revealtion system is quite gentle but the stakes still get high after 6-7 losses on the trot. It also has a major flaw if you have a sequence of say loss/win/loss or loss/loss/win as you never recover your initial stake.

  23. The publisher of FBB is providing the Revelation staking system with it – is it possible to plug the results gained during the trial in to Revelation, Lucy? I’d be interested to see the results and may be tempted in to buying Revelation to apply to this and LA also.

    1. I didn’t realise I had access to Revelation with my FBB purchase until I checked it again. I think I understand it, so I’ve run the 200 trial results through the staking plan and come up with this from a 100 point bank, using the recommended Revelation settings in the manual.:

      Profit 28.87
      New Balance 128.87
      %age Bank Growth 28.87%

It probably needs verifying by someone, but I think it’s right 🙂

Interestingly, there was over £700 in combined lay liability on the 200 bets and the growth represents 4% return on that liability – I think that’s very good, given you can scale up/down the stakes depending on bank growth. I didn’t change the recommended settings throughout the bets, so stuck with a 100 point starting bank for each bet effectively.

I’m pretty risk averse (after losing a few banks and starting again!) but Revelation does seem a little pedestrian to me, so maybe I’m not as risk averse as I thought I was!

Of course, this staking plan goes with FBB and Little Acorns, which are effectively grinding systems using small stakes (compared to a larger bank) and then compounding profits over time – so, without patience and time, you won’t be that impressed with the profits.

If you compare it to, say, Forex, where I know some pros that would take your arm off for a 4% return on 100 trades, then you start to see the power of it. But I’d be prepared to work at it for a few years without removing any profits to get a decent return. When I say “work”, it isn’t really – you could do this with a few minutes work to find selections and another few minutes between matches to place the next set of bets throughout the day.

Unless that is, you already have a big bank to work from – and are prepared to risk it. (Revelation reduces the risk of busting out significantly, trading off some of the profits from the other staking plans to pay for that risk reduction though – but a risk still exists to the bank)

I was hoping to automate FBB (and LA) while implementing Revelation, but I’m struggling to see how the staking plan could be automated with a bot. I’ve used a fair few of them that have been reviewed on LBAGR and unless something changes in them with upgrades, etc, none of them could automate this easily. I will give Gruss Betting Assistant a go, as it links to Excel and can use Visual Basic to assist with the staking plan. Don’t hold your breath on me being successful with it though 🙁

    1. There will be multiple selections daily, however you need to select those with at least 2 hours apart between kick off times to apply some of the staking recommendations – and you start with 11am kick offs, so the earliest you could do is 11am/1pm/3pm. Most of the “best” selections, with the better odds are available in the evening, 6pm and 8pm+, as most of the liquidity sits in the European leagues during normal season.

You could run multiple sequences throughout the day, covering more selections, but that would need multiple banks to cover the longest losing run sequences also. It would speed up the turnover of the bank, though, so in theory, should the ROI/ROL stay the same, it would bring in more profit in a shorter period of time.

  24. Fibonacci and Fib minus 2 are still increasing your stakes until a winning LAY occurs.
Like the coin tossing scenario,or red vs black at the casino…
You will at sometime encounter a very long losing streak ie.15 consecutive losers, which in most cases, especially the brave will bankrupt you….Does the term a “BLACK SWAN”have any resonance, ask Mr Leeson of Barings Bank infamy
Have you any idea what the 16th number in the fibonacci sequence is?…..987
987 x £50 = £49350….First you will require a substantial bank, next balls of steel, and third you are going to struggle to get your stake placed.
Most pros using this system would take a loss at a losing sequence of 8…. then reboot.
The compounding sales blurb is very enticing for the greedy, yet over the long term you will have both long winning sequences and the devastating long losing sequence….However good any system……Be prepared to cut your losses,do not get lured into just one more selection to chase your losses.
Hope this helps all system players.

    1. FBB uses a 9 stage Fib, so needs a bank of £1,650 minimum to use £50 stakes, and uses a market that rarely has long losing runs. Looking at the sales page and the way it has worked for me, I can say that it is possible to make the profits outlined on the sales page, but you must be willing to put the whole bank at risk, as with all lose chasing/stake recovery systems.

Another “Marmite” system – love it or hate it, you’ll have to decide yourself based on your risk/reward tolerance ratios. The inevitable could happen, be prepared for it, accept it, or don’t get involved and save yourself the heartache.

  25. Hi Lucy I was just about to sign up for this until I came across your review, number 1 on Google search, great SEO.

Despite Paulos efforts I think this system has the potential to threaten not only my bank but also my ticker.

Sticking to STP & Scanner for now

  26. Scot

Thank you very much for your kind comments, I’m really glad you like the site. Maybe next time you could buy the product through a link on it, as it helps fund all these trials! 😉

In answer to your question, Paulo ran the trial for me and used no end of different leagues…. as you can see if you download the full results spreadsheet (at http://www.laybackandgetrich.com/wp-content/uploads/2014/02/Football-Bank-Builder-Trial-Final-1.xls) and go the Global tab, scanning down column W.

    thanks Lucy

  27. Hi there. I purchased this today.
Andrew states to keep to the big leagues. Prem and over the water equivalents but when I look at the bets. Well. Any league? Am I right or have I (as usual:-) missed something.

I much prefer the freedom. Although with the season starting I doubt big league fixtures will be a problem.

Can you confirm your league filters if any for the trial please.

All the best. And love your site. Always was a softie for a gambling beauty.

  28. I just bought this system. Still waiting on the email coming through. Did anyone else have problems with this? I have sent 3 emails but still no reply. Anyone out there still using it? Thought it could be good coming up to the world cup….?

  29. Its a profitable system – full stop! Thats a very thorough review Paulo for which readers should thank you for spending time on it as its a very simple and a nice money making method as you’ve found and same with my experience. I use it on the top European leagues only and adopt the ‘2 steps back staking plan’ and doing well enough to explore other options with it some good & some bad, but as for the system itself i would give it pole position.

  30. I dont agree with those that say level stakes is the true test of any system, thats just lazy thinking and not correctly applying money management. Some methods i use actually lose at level stakes but make great gains when using sensible staking plans. I have my own system where i add any losses from previous bets plus my initial target aim and because i rarely have losing runs longer than 4 or 5 then betting at level stakes would be improper money management for such a method. I bought footie bankbuilder in August and have amassed just over 80 points in profits or around 13 points per month which will do for me for such a simple method! Although the last 5 weeks have been very slow indeed due the winter europe break, but thats just re-inforced how good this system is as when you have bad periods you still end up on top:)

  31. Of course level stakes must be the real measure!
However, there is a reason for me to ignore the strike rate achieved during the trial, and be very confident that in the long term the strike rate will improve to very close to 50%
And the reason is: I did track all the games I could find that were within system rules!
But couldn´t use them all due to the fact they often overlap in time and wouldn’t allow to follow the staking plans. And have I had another different set of games chosen to trial… and the strike rate would be completely different!
That’s why I think it was pure bad luck that one “lousy strike rate”! 😉 But those are the games I used in the trial… so, those are the results!

I can say another thing, though… During the trial period I made a profit of more than 70 units, from this system. Not only those 12.12 shown. Using all the games available, and not constrained by their timing, due to the use of several “series”. Some performed much better than others. So, different people using the system would have achieved different results in the same period.

  32. Why talk about the Level Stakes bank, when the author clearly doesn’t recommend it – for me, a level stakes approach is similar to a bet on black or red, which would often throw up a strike rate less than seen in this trial. The system is clearly designed to utilise the recommended staking plan. (Which is probably the reason why it is ‘recommended’! ;))

What I would be more interested in, though, Paulo, is the longer term strategy of the system – the sales pitch is to compound a £1k starting bank in to a £30k bank in 3 years. Is this just a strapline to get sales? Plugging the results you got in to The Staking Machine, it looks like a 2% Percentage Liability staking plan works best, with £355 being the closing bank on a £100 starting bank, just for example.

What I am saying here is that a 200 bet trial throws up a decent example of how a system works in the longer term and if you can set stakes and risk correctly, it can make a decent return. Why, then would you use the recommended staking plan instead of something safer and perhaps more pedestrian, but more suitable to the strike rate gained.

    1. Level stakes IS the true test – lets take the Fibonacci method for example. After many bets, you will have so many bets with a stake of £1, so many with a stake of £2, so many at £3, and £5 etc. So you’ve effectively got a different number of Level Stakes Plans on the go, doesn’t matter if the same-stake-bets are placed at different times. It’s the same as having 5 different bettors each using their own Level Stakes Plan, one uses £1 stakes, one £2’s etc.

  33. Well yes, I would also think that the level stakes bank is the most important (i.e., the most telling) one, and a “lousy strike rate” doesn’t exactly sound like a recommendation… Just saying 😉

  34. Interesting this is there any truth in the saying that if a system doesn’t work at level stakes it is flawed ? Just wondered thanks for the trial.
