Total Tennis Trading – Challenge Days 1 & 2

Posted by on June 7, 2012

Hello there, my name is Nuno and Lucy has asked me to carry out a review of Total Tennis Trading.

My initial experiences with the product are documented here, where you will also find that Lucy and I decided to carry out….

The 2 Euro Challenge!

The plan is to start a ‘challenge’ with a 100€ account and only trade using 2€ stakes.    I intend to report on each day’s testing as a separate post, answering a set of questions that Lucy has come up with.    That said, the first two days were so similar that I have put them into this single page.

So we begin with – DAY 1 (06/06/2012), and an initial Bank = 100€.

The stake I will be using most of the time will be the minimum allowed by Betfair (2€).  However, there are some strategies that use half of the stake.  So in these situations the stake will have to be 4€ to make it possible to halve the stake.

So let’s get started!

Date - 6th June and 7th June 2012

Matches traded - Over the first two days, I only traded two matches using one of the basic strategies:  Shvedova versus Kvitova on the 6th, and Samantha Stosur versus Errani on the 7th.

Profit/Loss – I made a profit of + 0,85€ on the first match, and + 0,95€ on the second.   (If I had kept the second trade open a little more I could have made 1,30€, because the odds have increased more…..).

TTT Method Used - Flip Reverse on both matches

Amount staked & amount at risk -  I used a stake of 4€ each time, because I needed to use half of the stake later to get a situation of no risk. The amount at risk is small in relation to the stake and there are always exit points when the things are going against us to protect our bank.

How long did the trade  take? - These trades were very quick because the odds moved as described in the manual.  Obviously, things may not go so perfectly every time!

Did you feel you were in danger of losing money at any point and if so, what did you do?  - In these trades I didn’t have any stress, and no danger of losing money; but if it went wrong, then at the end of the first set,  I must assume the loss, like the rules state.  That could cost me something like 0.20€ or less, depending on the odds at that moment.

OK so I finished day 2 with a profit of + 1,80€, so my bank is now 101,80€.

Nuno.
