This week, there is a simple, standout arb opportunity that I do not intend to pass up. And neither should you.
I simply can’t resist exploiting Bet365′s give-away offer on tonight’s England v Italy match … to read all about it, please go to http://www.bet365.com/
All you have to do is place a pre-match bet of £50 at Bet365 (say, on England to win), then a further in-play £50 bet (say on > 2.5 goals market), and lay both bets off.
I attach a spreadsheet here showing you how it’s done. Just enter your Betfair commission, stakes placed and odds obtained in the bold, italicised fields to calculate your profits, then place your bets to cash in.
You can bias your bets if you wish, in order to produce greater winnings in the event of what you personally consider to be the most likely outcome. Which is fine, provided you clearly separate in your mind what you want to happen from what you think will happen! There are real risks associated with “fan betting” – see here for a cautionary tale!
It’s almost impossible to imagine anything going wrong with this arb.
The only thing I can think of is the risk that you forget to put the in-play bets on in all the excitement of the match!?!?
