Hello there, my name is Roberto, and Lucy has asked me to carry out a trial of Little Acorns. (See also Lucy’s introduction to Little Acorns).
So I thought I would start by giving you my first impressions …….
Little Acorns
The system is simple. There are some odd parameters and one filter (plus one optional). It’s all clearly explained, it’s not time consuming, 15-25 minutes are enough for the selection process, and the liabilities are low, because we are laying odds on favourites.
There are 3 suggested staking plans, 2 of which are more aggressive and the third being very low risk. I will start the trial with the low risk one, at 20 euros per bet, as it’s particularly suitable for beginners. The other two may cause some stress if facing a losing run, this is my only concern about this system.
I will use Betangel and its automation tool to place bets without the need to stay in front of my PC. In the morning, I will make the selection process, adding the potential selections to Betangel‘s watchlist (the “guardian”)…. and in the afternoon the software will do all the work for me!
Obviously, if you prefer, it can all be done manually also. 
OK I will now start placing bets using the system, and record my progress as comments below. Feel free to comment or ask questions and I will do my best to answer (or ask Lucy to do so!).

Yes, I think the staking plans will be the main source of interest here Roberto. However, I must say low-liability laying does have a lot of appeal, so I am very excited to see how we get on.

hiya roberto good to see your having a positive start. rather coincidentally i have also been trialing this system but with me being a football mainac i decided to try and apply this strategy to football.
ive been having great success thus far with my longest losing run being 4. whats great about applying this to football is that if the pre game favorite is losing by 1 goal going into 65 – 80 mins traders start to panic and jump on the draw/dog resulting in the favorites odds to sky rocket making it possible to close out the trade with a nice return without having to wait for the final whistle, which is always a good idea as a massive majority of teams especially home favorites tend to find there urgency in the last 15 minutes.
yes..also i think that in the early rounds of tennis minor tournaments the progressive staking could be profitable without danger of losing the entire bank..for now we are trialing at level stakes, a very good start but sooner or later there will be some losing bet..the important is the long term strike rate
this is the first system in which i have used a lose recovery staking method, its worked for me so far but after reading some horror stories recently im wondering if it is worth it !

hi gooner..i like the way the author of this system explains the various staking plans..i think that doing exactly what he says in the manual ( start small etc. etc.) there should not be too much problems, also with the more aggressive staking plans, because we are laying odds on favourites..

hi lucy! now no more than 15 minutes, there are usually 4-5 potential selections each day, that i add to the bet angel watchlist..after that i set up the software to look at the odds parameters in the last 15 minutes before the start, at this time some of the morning selections can be out of range,but almost every day there is at least a bet placed..ps today another winning lay!

Hi Roberto, Yesterday was the first day of me on the system and my results were 1 selection 1 win. I do not use the extra postdata criteria and I had to wait until just before the off whilst my selection dipped to the required price are you willing to share your selection from yesterday and why it was a qualifier? (possiblbly it became one just before the off) Thanks David
hi david! the selection was Miss You Too ( york 14:05)..i don’t bet manually, i use the bet angel automation..i add the potential selections (up to 2.5) in the morning..after this the software will automatically place a bet if in the last 15 minutes the prices are in the range indicated by the system..i don’t use the optional filter (like you). probably your selection was’nt in my watchlist.

after the first month of trial i can say that the system is working like is outlined in the guide..around 2-5 points profit every month at level stakes, aiming for a 10% of the bank and rolling over profits each month..for this reason from today the stake will be 23.61 euros (1/20 of the new bank, 472.2E)

no selections on sunday and monday, too.. only one bet in august so far
I have a very similar system that i purchased two years ago, and i did not realize it was identical, and to be honest i paid half the amount.But still paid for it none the less.My results are virtually the same and yes it was a close call between little acorns and my system regards the level stakes performance, june was just over 7points profit, and july 4.95,and so far for myself this month….4losses and 4 winning bets,and a 1.16 points profit to level stakes.Interesting to see how they both do side by side.

Its not a busy thread i know, but this system may have a few edges that can be brought into play,there could well be more selections based on putting orders in below the asking odds and if it gets taken in play so be it,you will have your value and you can pick the average lay price as the requested price.I will report back if it looks like a profitable adaption.

i do believe live betting this system will produce more selections due to the none runner rules and odds drop in the event of, and i think its the reason why ive had more selections that the official trial,but i carnt believe there is so little interest in this.especially on this thread. oh well,happy punting.
ps, just take on board this for a minute folks……you only need 42% wins or lay wins to break even with this system,and thats taking into account adding 12.5% to the sp standard bookie price with racing post sp prices.which means if you asked for a price in line with sp and not betfair before the off,you would more than likely get that price in running anyway, as the favs do tend to run well in the early stages anyhow and punters are scrambeling to get in on lower odds, hence asking for an equal standard sp price is not out the question.That on its own puts you in profit at 42% strike rate, and thats taking into account the betfairs commission of 5% on the lay winners.
Now if you hit anything like 45/50% its looking good guys.Do the maths,Ive averaged lay prices over june of 1.71 so its looking very good at mo.
