ZeroHype Banker Service, Week 3, 2/4/12 – 8/4/12

Posted by on April 8, 2012

Another interesting week for the ZeroHype Banker service, with the Win and Place market banks moving in different directions.  Three wins out of four were only spoiled by a really poor performance from Bishop’s Heir on Monday, finishing last in the 3 o ‘clock at Kelso.

This was very bad news for our Place market bank, as the three winners that followed all went off at place BSPs below 1.3, and therefore failed to compensate.  In contrast, the Win balance has benefited from a remarkable run of 10 wins out of 12, repaying our early losses and leaving me feeling much more positive about my decision to test this service.

That said, we’ve only had 17 races, so it’s a bit early to be popping open the champagne.

The system balances at the end of week 3, against an opening bank of £1000, are therefore as follows:

Win market: £1051.71 (£20 level staking), and £1048.65 (2% ratchet).
Place market: £989.35 (£20 level staking), and £988.33  (2% ratchet).

My updated results spreadsheet is available for download here.

I am really starting to enjoy the ride here, and sense we may be on to something.   It’s also interesting to see that our tipster is willing to ‘walk away from the table’ when he has doubts about a day’s racing: always a good sign.
